Open the Live TV screen and find the channel in the full list. Long-press the channel row on a remote-controlled device, or right-click it with a mouse on Windows. A small menu pops up with options including Add to Favorites; some versions show a star or heart icon directly on the row instead, and tapping it does the same thing. You do not need to log back into your playlist or re-enter any Xtream Codes details to do this. It only changes how that one channel is tagged inside the app, not the underlying playlist your provider supplies. Repeat the same long-press or click for every channel you want quick access to, one at a time.

Once you have tagged a few channels, look at the category list on the left side of the Live TV screen. A new group labeled Favorites appears near the top, separate from the full channel list and any other groups your playlist came with. Open it and you will see only the channels you picked, in the order you added them on most versions. This is the main payoff: instead of scrolling past thousands of channels to reach the five or six you actually watch, you jump straight to a short list. If you ever want to start over, you can remove every favorite the same way you added them, one channel at a time.

No, and mixing these two up is a common source of confusion. Adding a playlist means entering the M3U link or the username, password, and server URL your provider gives you; you do that once, during setup, and it loads the entire channel list into the app. Adding a favorite happens after that, and only marks individual channels you already have access to. You can also load a second playlist and mix its EPG, the on-screen program guide data, with your main one, but that is its own setup step, not something favorites do automatically. Favorites just sit on top of whatever playlist or playlists are already loaded.

If you are used to a traditional TV tuner, you might expect a scan option that searches for available channels. IPTV Smarters Pro does not work that way, and no update is likely to add it. Every channel already comes from the M3U or Xtream Codes playlist your provider builds and sends you; the app just reads that list and displays it, so there is nothing nearby to scan for. That is also why favorites matter more here than on a regular TV: with a channel list built by your provider rather than found by scanning, you need a way to shortcut back to the ones you actually watch, and Favorites is that shortcut.
