Samsung Tizen TV Setup — Install, Bind, Start Watching

Every Samsung smart TV sold since 2015 runs Tizen, and Tizen players work the same way: no username, no password, just a MAC address that we attach to your line by hand. You install from Smart Hub, photograph the number the app shows you, send it to support, and reopen the app. Around eight minutes, most of it waiting for the bind.

Two Samsung-specific things trip people up: Smart Hub is region-locked, so the player may simply not be listed where you live, and the set has two MAC addresses — one for Wi-Fi, one for the Ethernet port. Both are dealt with below.

Step by step

Installing on a Samsung Tizen TV

Check the model year first. Anything from 2015 onwards runs Tizen; earlier Samsung sets run Orsay and are not supported by current players.

  1. 1

    Confirm the set runs Tizen

Settings → Support → About This TV shows the software version. Tizen sets report a Tizen version; a 2013 or 2014 Samsung will not.

Tip · The model code helps too. Samsung sets from 2015 onward carry a year letter — J, K, M, N, R, T, A, B and onward — in the middle of the code.

  2. 2

Open Smart Hub and install IBO Player Pro or Smart STB

Press the Home button, move to Apps, and search for IBO Player Pro (recommended) or Smart STB. Install it the same way you would install any Samsung app.

Tip · Nothing in the results? Skip to the note below about region — it is far more likely than your model being unsupported.

  3. 3

Launch it and photograph the MAC address

The player opens on a screen showing a MAC address and often a device key. Those characters are how the server will recognize your TV.

Tip · Note whether the TV is on Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Each adapter has its own MAC, and binding the wrong one produces an app that never connects.

  4. 4

    Send the MAC to support

Message the photo to WhatsApp at 212704548494 or email [email protected] along with the address on your order, and we bind the line to that MAC manually.

Tip · If you already know you will switch the TV to Ethernet later, send both MACs now and we will note it.

  5. 5

Relaunch and let the list download

Close the app completely and reopen. The channel list and the EPG pull down on their own within a minute — you never type credentials on Tizen.

Tip · Tizen suspends apps rather than closing them. If it still errors, unplug the TV at the wall for 30 seconds and try again.

  6. 6

    Set the picture up properly

Picture mode to Movie or Filmmaker, and Picture Clarity Settings off. Then turn on HDMI UHD Color if anything else is feeding this set over HDMI.

Tip · Picture Clarity is Samsung's motion interpolation. Leaving it on is what makes live football look like a daytime soap.

Most common snag

The player does not appear in Smart Hub search

Samsung app store listings are region-locked, and the region is fixed to the country your TV was set up in. If a player is not published in that country it will not show up in search no matter how you spell it, and the model is rarely the reason. Changing region means a Smart Hub reset, which wipes your installed apps and sign-ins — worth knowing before you start. The reset does not change your MAC address, so a bind you already have stays valid. Message support before doing it and we will tell you whether a listed alternative exists first.

Device questions

What people ask about this one

Which Samsung models are supported?
Tizen sets, which means the 2015 model year onwards. Sets from 2013 and 2014 run Samsung's older Orsay platform, and current IPTV players are not built for it. If you have one of those, a streaming stick on a spare HDMI port is the practical answer and costs less than a month of cable.
Does the bind break if I factory-reset the TV?
No. A MAC address is burned into the network hardware, so resetting Tizen or wiping Smart Hub leaves it unchanged. You will have to reinstall the player, but the bind on our side still matches. What does break the bind is switching between Wi-Fi and Ethernet, because those are two different adapters with two different addresses.
Will a Samsung TV app show genuine 4K?
Samsung 4K sets from 2017 onwards decode HEVC 2160p 10-bit in hardware, so the panel side is not the constraint. The player app is the variable — some Tizen players cap at 1080p. If a channel we label 4K looks sharp on a Fire TV Stick 4K and soft on the Samsung app, the app is limiting it, not the stream.
The Tizen app wants an activation payment. Is that part of my subscription?
No. Some Tizen players charge a small one-off fee to their own developer per device. It is a separate transaction, we receive none of it, and paying it or not has no effect on your line with us.

When you are ready

Your Samsung already has everything it needs

One app from Smart Hub, one MAC address sent to support, and the channel list arrives on its own. No box, no cable, nothing posted to you.

No contract. 7-day money-back on every plan, trials excluded.

Stuck?

Send the splash screen, we will do the rest

A photo of the screen showing your MAC is all support needs to bind the line. WhatsApp 212704548494 or email [email protected], 24 hours a day, and tell us if the TV is on Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
