Bandwidth planning is simpler than it looks. 4K runs about 15–25 Mbps and roughly 7 GB per hour. 1080p runs about 5–8 Mbps and roughly 3 GB per hour. HEVC does the same picture at about half the bitrate of H.264, which is why the same channel can be smooth on one device and not another.

Which device gives the most reliable playback?
An Android TV box or a current-generation 4K stick, in that order, mostly because they have enough RAM to hold a large channel list without paging. Smart TV apps are the most convenient and the most constrained — they are hardest to update and slowest to load big lists. Whatever you pick, wired Ethernet removes an entire class of intermittent problems that Wi-Fi introduces.
Why does my player slow down with a big channel list?
Because the app holds the list in memory and re-sorts it on every navigation. Users report apps becoming unstable somewhere above 18,000 visible channels. The fix is to hide the category groups you never watch, which cuts the list the app has to manage. It is not cosmetic — it changes how much memory the player needs to keep the interface responsive.
Do I need a specific app to use this service?
No. Any player that accepts an Xtream Codes login or a plain M3U link works, and your activation email carries both. That includes the widely used player apps on Fire OS, Android, iOS, Windows and macOS. We do not require a branded app, which also means you are not locked out if a particular app is pulled from a store.
What internet speed do I actually need?
Around 15–25 Mbps per simultaneous 4K stream and 5–8 Mbps per 1080p stream. Multiply by the number of screens you expect to run at once, then add headroom for everything else on the network. Most US broadband connections handle two 4K streams comfortably; the usual bottleneck is Wi-Fi coverage in the room, not the line speed into the house.
