TiviMate doesn't ship with channels built in. The URL you paste is either an M3U playlist link, a single file listing every channel and its stream address, or a set of Xtream Codes API details: a server address, a username, and a password entered as three separate fields instead of one link. Either way, TiviMate reads that source once, builds the channel list and groups from it, and reaches back out to the same address every time you tune in or refresh the guide. Nothing is stored inside TiviMate itself beyond that connection detail, which is why the same URL loads a slightly different list if the provider changes it on their end.

Your IPTV account panel is the source, not a forum post or a screenshot from a friend. Copy the link or credentials directly from there and paste them into TiviMate rather than retyping a long string of characters from memory or from a photo on your phone. A single dropped letter, an extra space at the end, or an http instead of https will make the playlist fail to load, and the error TiviMate shows back rarely says which part was wrong. Copy-paste removes almost all of that risk in one step.

A bad or expired URL usually shows up as an empty channel list, a spinning loader that never finishes, or a plain connection error when you try to add the playlist. It rarely half-loads, so if you see some channels but not others, the URL itself is fine and something else, like the guide feed, is the actual problem. Before assuming your account is broken, check the account panel for a newer link, since providers sometimes rotate the address after maintenance and expect you to update it on each device.

The URL or Xtream Codes credentials stay tied to your account, not to a single device, so you use the same details on every install up to your plan's connection limit. Adding TiviMate on a second Firestick or an Android TV box means repeating the same paste, not requesting a new link. Keep the details saved somewhere outside the app itself, like a notes file, so a factory reset or a new device doesn't turn into a support ticket just to recover a string you already had. This also means an app update or a full device wipe never requires new credentials from your provider, since nothing about the URL itself changed, only the app reading it.
