Open the player app and choose to add a line, then enter either your server address with a username and password, or paste the M3U playlist link if that's what your subscription uses. Save it, and the app pulls your full channel list and program guide over your Wi-Fi or ethernet connection — this can take anywhere from a few seconds to a couple of minutes depending on how large the list is. Once it loads, browse to a channel and confirm picture and sound before you spend time organizing favorites or hiding groups you don't watch. The single most common failure is a typo in the server address or playlist URL — one wrong character and the app shows nothing, which looks like a bigger problem than it is. The second is trying to install the player app from Amazon's own store, where these apps generally aren't listed, then giving up when nothing turns up. Third, skipping the unknown-sources setting means Downloader can pull the file but can't finish installing it. None of these are Firestick problems — they're setup-order problems, and checking the address character by character before anything else fixes the first one, which causes more support questions than every other step combined.
