Before you buy a MAG box specifically for 4K, confirm the listing states HEVC or 4K decoding rather than assuming it based on the MAG name alone, since two boxes from the same line can differ by generation and by which chip they were built around.

Start by checking the scope of the problem: is it every channel, one group of channels, or just one? All channels failing usually points at the portal URL or MAC pairing itself — double-check both were entered exactly right. One group failing but others working points at a server-side issue with that specific content, not your box. A single channel failing is often just that channel's source. Switch away to a working channel and back to the failing one — if it recovers, the session stalled rather than your line being the problem.
