Simultaneous connections are how many of those installs can stream at the exact same moment — IP4KTV plans run 1-5 depending on plan. You can install the app in ten places, but only stream on as many devices at once as your plan's connection limit allows, regardless of which homes those devices sit in.

A single IP4KTV plan with enough simultaneous connections can cover a primary home and a second property, a family member's house, or a vacation place, as long as the total number of active streams across every location stays under the plan's cap at any one time. Compare that to cable or satellite, which typically requires a separate account and a separate installed box per address, adding a full second monthly bill. Streaming bundles often tie an account to a single home address for live content, which can restrict access from a second property entirely — check that specific term before assuming it travels.

Each home has its own internet connection, so setup happens independently at each address: install the app on that home's device, log in with the same account credentials, and the connection cap applies across both locations combined, not per home. There is no shared router or shared bandwidth between the two houses — a stream running in one home does not use up bandwidth in the other. What is shared is the account's connection limit itself, so if three people are streaming at home A, only two connections remain available for home B until one of those three stops.

Two things need to hold at once: your account's simultaneous-connection limit has to cover every active stream across both homes combined, and each home's own internet connection has to sustain its own bitrate independently — 15-25 Mbps per 4K stream, 5-8 Mbps per 1080p stream. A 5-connection plan easily covers two homes each running two or three screens during a big game. What it cannot fix is a weak connection at either individual house; that is a local bandwidth question each home has to answer on its own, separate from the account-level connection cap.
