Not the full players most people mean. Samsung's Tizen platform runs a closed, curated app store, so the login-only players common on Android TV and Firestick rarely show up there the same way. What you often find instead are basic browser tools or limited apps that do not hold up against a large channel list. That gap is not a Samsung flaw so much as a design choice: Tizen prioritizes a small, vetted catalog over an open one. The workaround nearly everyone lands on is routing the picture through a separate streaming device plugged into an HDMI port, which sidesteps the Tizen store entirely and gives you the same player options an Android TV owner already has.

External wins for this use case, and the reason is memory and update cadence, not brand preference. A player app has to hold a large channel list in memory and keep shipping updates as post-update regressions get patched, and dedicated streaming boxes get that support far more consistently than a TV's built-in app layer. On a connected Firestick, Android TV box or Apple TV, a login-only player behaves the same as it would on any other Android-based device: stable buffering settings, a searchable guide, and room to hide unused channel groups so the list stays fast. Install a login-only player on the device, enter the credentials your service gave you, and set the buffer to none or its lowest value. Switch the Samsung TV's input to that HDMI port and the channel list loads inside the connected device, not inside Tizen. Setup runs about 5 minutes once the device itself is on the network.

You can, but it is the weakest option of the three. Casting a login-only player from a phone or laptop adds a hop the direct HDMI route does not have, so a live stream is more likely to stutter when the sending device is also handling other tasks. Samsung's own browser can open some web-based players, but browsers were not built to hold a large channel guide in memory, and performance degrades fast on a list with any real size.
